Gacha systems: fun or predatory monetization?

Following the tremendous success of Genshin Impact, gacha monetization systems are on the rise again. Being quite rewarding yet extremely addictive, those can make or break a game.

While some consider it a form of predatory monetization, others enjoy the thrill of rolling for that epic quality sword or a five-star character and have nothing against it. As for us, we think it’s cool when it’s a complimentary mechanic in a game that’s a lot of fun by itself. You know, when a game feels like a game, not like a casino or a shopping mall.

If you’re keen to monetize your game globally with or without a gacha system, don’t hesitate to contact 1D3.

We’ll be glad to help with payments and global compliance:
